چکیده

This study evaluated the combined effect of foliar spray inoculation with plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) and nitrogen doses on yield, development, nutritive value Megathyrsus maximus cv. BRS Zuri. The experimental design was randomized blocks four replications, repeated measures in time. Foliar two (Azospirillum brasilense Ab-V5 (CNPSo 2083) Ab-V6 2084) Pseudomonas fluorescens 2799)) 40 80 kg ha−1 N (urea) rates, addition to control (without fertilization), were applied. In rainy season, at level N, both A. P. increased, respectively, tiller number by 33% 25% (22 February), accumulated tissues 42% January), while previous year (21 February) beneficial effects observed percentage leaf blade true digestibility vitro. When inoculated CNPSo 2799, ha−1, root system Zuri grass increased 61% 30%, respectively.

Diversity of plant growth-promoting bacteria associated with sugarcane.

The sugarcane (Saccharum spp) presents economic importance, mainly for tropical regions, being an important Brazilian commodity. However, this crop is strongly dependent on fertilizers, mainly nitrogen (N). This study assessed the plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) associated with sugarcane that could be used as a potential inoculant to the crop. We evaluated the genetic diversity of PGPB i...

Response of legumes to co-inoculation with nodule bacteria and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) of the genus Pseudomonas have been reported to increase the yield of nonleguminous plants. Inoculation with Pseudomonas has been found by some authors to improve nodulation of legumes. This work examined the response of various legumes to a combined inoculation with Pseudomonas and nodule bacteria in pot experiments under field conditions in gray fore...

Characterization of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria associated with chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are known to influence plant growth by various direct or indirect mechanisms. In search of efficient PGPR strains with multiple activities, a total of 150 bacterial isolates belonging to Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Azotobacter and Rhizobium were isolated from different rhizospheric soil of chick pea in the vicinity of Allahabad. These test isolates were bi...

Growth Analysis of Chickpea Cv. Bari Chhola-6 as Affected by Foliar Spray of Growth Regulators

Leaf area index (LAI), leaf area duration (LAD), crop growth rate (CGR), net assimilation rate (NAR) and above ground dry matter accumulation (AGDM) of a cultivar of chickpea (Cicer arietenum) were studied with the application of potassium naphthenate (KNap) and naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) as foliar spray in 2001-2002. The growth regulators had greater influence on plants which showed compara...

Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria Inoculation to Enhance Vegetative Growth, Nitrogen Fixation and Nitrogen Remobilisation of Maize under Greenhouse Conditions

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) may provide a biological alternative to fix atmospheric N2 and delay N remobilisation in maize plant to increase crop yield, based on an understanding that plant-N remobilisation is directly correlated to its plant senescence. Thus, four PGPR strains were selected from a series of bacterial strains isolated from maize roots at two locations in Malaysi...
